World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and PvE Damage.

For example an item with the upgrade template ending in % will take on an attack damage of 3% each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item's level rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons and trinkets to provide an extra stat boost or effect while they're in use. These can be obtained by making crafts, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot for them. The item must have been at least upgraded to the blue level for a component to be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or Ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can include a suffix or prefix, modifying the name of the equipment to which it is applied (for instancefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players create stronger versions with fewer Upgrade crystals than they would need to reach the same level with normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop, or by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of an item will be dropped at the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue upgrading their gear, even if they're unsure of how much it will increase after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be costly and it's possible that the item will eventually become obsolete or even break if the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the chance of failure. Some upgrades also offer the player a bonus if they are they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, which includes any existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded many ways, and we recommend upgrading them to 15 levels whenever you can.

You'll often see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the most effective way to upgrade item your gear. These are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded up to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most commonly used. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced with a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you will require them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus which will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Based on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs increase the number of nodes connected to them, therefore it is Best item upgrader to place Glyphs in key places on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for example should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to boost the power of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is commonly known as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned an amount that determines the final stats. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each item level requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab of the crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to the upgrading of an item. When enough points have been earned, you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When an item is upgraded by a player to a higher level, the original item is replaced by a new item of the same kind. This means that the same armor piece will get an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item comes with its own set bonus. This could be a problem, as it can make the item more expensive if you don't require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do this. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will come with an initial level and a completely different set of bonus bonuses. This is useful for some items, but it's not something that should be done regularly, as it could waste a lot of resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the max roll by 10 points. This item is highly valuable in PvP. A well-rolled version can be worth up to 50x the value of a non-upgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the level of their available gear--armor, weapons and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense of the base set, while upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it has a chance of failing. The probability of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can cause the Best item upgrader to revert to its initial state, which will force the user to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. Additionally the item will lose any gained bonuses, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as any additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or the speed of reloading). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains a crit chance increase, the increase will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item definition and the value is computed every time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its value. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items will have a much lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items may have different upgrade item requirements from standard gear. For instance they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. The player will still need to carry every piece of equipment they want to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require a different amount of the ingredients needed to Upgrade Item.
