The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation technology are excellent too as the robot is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only problem is that it is known to smash into objects and walls at full speed. However, a quick look at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you exactly what the robot has completed, where it's going, and which obstacles he has run into or avoided.

A handy LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance tasks need to be done like emptying the debris tray, and cleaning the dirty water tank. It is also able to mix detergent into the tank by itself by using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time, with the mop capable of running for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to look at all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's flagship robot mop and vacuum. Unlike last year's model, this one features two agitators in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to remove fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners may overlook.

As with the other two Roborock models I've tried, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which helps to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they're a wall or another surface. It then can alter its path automatically and clean around the objects without missing a step.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, however, it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek, angular design is attractive and it only has three physical buttons: the power button, which can also restart cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can send the robot back to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties, and the bin is auto-refilling.

The only issue I have discovered with this model was that its VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if necessary) but it's a challenge to take off the mount to wash manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mount, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number clever features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can configure and manage these via the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery life and maintain your components. You'll need to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame considering the performance otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

In contrast to other robots that solely focus on one task, the X40 is capable of performing both vacuuming and mopping at the same time or individually. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas or vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.

The app is intuitive and simple to use and the X40's intelligent features are a breeze to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, alter modes, look at floor plans and maps and manage mopping setting. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features that make it a great option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It also can detect the moment when the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and alert you to the situation before it spills.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot vacuum reviews is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It does have several features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature on its mops, uses two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, small dirt particles and remove spills and dirty spots.

Its mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This feature is great because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from building up in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that we haven't yet seen on other best rated robot vacuum vacuums and mop models, and it could be a great method to keep your home clean for longer.

There's a wealth of settings on offer that include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a variety of preferences.
