The upgrade option lets players increase an item's gear rating up 700 points and also add a bonus. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.

Certain items can be upgraded to benefit from their unique stats (like a perfectly rolled breakpoint armour used in melee PvP) and others, like weapons, do not change significantly after an upgrade, so they aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats like the chance to crit, attack damage as well as PvE and damage to PvP. Weapons also have a flat bonus which increases the damage they deal per second. A lot of weapons also have an unaffected bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are equipped in a unit. This bonus could be more than the damage a weapon upgrade items can do on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity and level. For instance, a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the weapon will continue to increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons will also change the stats of the base. While this is generally beneficial, it can have some negative consequences too. Upgrades can make things impossible to use, unless you are extremely lucky.

Upgrades can be made to armor items to increase their stats. In the case of a helm or chest, this will increase its defense base while gloves and belts will increase their strength and dexterity. Armor also offers an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it can sometimes reroll to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats it will gain after upgrading along with the relative values of those stats. This means that an upgrade from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in a weapon gaining 33% attack damage. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will be hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button on the item menu using the circling arrows. The item will be rerolled and change its stats, however, it will not reset the weapon's level or bind to account status.

Armor

Adding a few upgrades to your armor could make a a huge difference in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets provide massive increases in poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, which can make traversing tough areas a breeze. In general, the more defense you can offer your character, the greater health you'll receive from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.

To improve your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four of them and each one requires you to complete a unique side quest that involves the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've done the main side quest and have completed the fountain that corresponds and then you can speak to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels and the amount of materials and Rupees needed for each level will differ. In general, you'll be looking at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the first upgrade, then anywhere between five Rubies and ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, for instance, can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which allows you to keep up in cold environments with a large number of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded as high as +20 defense, which means you can survive a raid with your friends.

Note that armor can't be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll want to work on enhancing it to increase physical power if you're Warrior or Spell Power when you're Mage. It's also a good idea to save your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll wear at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you'll wear for the final boss battle, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

You can also gain advantages to your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally, you'll want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be useful to have some upgrades of the chest armor and helmets that allow you to stealth around certain monsters.

Potions

Potions are liquids that when consumed by the player, provide the player with a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five types of potions that have different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, enhancing their level of effect. In addition, the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to them.

Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP. This can be earned by making them on a crafting table or the Alchemist's chest. The price of upgrades will vary based on the kind of potion you wish to upgrade, and also on the item Upgrader mod's Mark Level as well as its rarity.

To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This opens a GUI where you can choose the potions you wish to upgrade and the amount of XP they will yield when upgraded. Upgrades to potions can be made in batches of up to five at a single time, and the XP they provide will be added to your current XP count.

Once a potion is upgraded in quality, it will not deteriorate unless you make use of it again or break the bottle in which it is kept. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.

Version 1.7.2 introduced a few modifications to the mechanism of potions. For example splash potions now have an average duration of zero,08 seconds (this is not the same as the 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the hover display for the item). The table of potion can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players in Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons, as is the case with Java Edition. This is the same for using a potion within a cauldron that is full. This will draw out the potion and refill the bottle.

Finally, there are simmering potions that are made with dragon breath and splash potions. In the same way, a lingering potion effect can be extended by adding redstone to it. The potion table is now organized more closely to the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as potion of leaping, decomposition potion, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket can be an ornamental item that is small, cheap or piece jewelry. It could be a reference to an object or ornament that serves a purpose, but is not particularly important like a thimble. In some traditions, trinkets are used to signify affection or friendship, specifically between family members.

In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrader mod upgrades trinkets are able to be traded out at any time without losing their status.

The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and in the capital of each zone, as well as in some cases, dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with gold, tokens or fragments of a rare trinket.

The upgrade of a trinket can be an affordable alternative to buying an entirely new one. You can upgrade item their trinket for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same level of base as the old trinket, but it also comes with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.

Trinkets can be upgraded when they're no longer useful which allows a player to increase their power and worth over time. They can be traded among players, making them an alternative to gold.

In general, players should upgrade their highest priority items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are first upgraded, followed by their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment they will not replace in the near future (such as an earring or a cloak). When deciding which items to upgrade, players should take into account the class's preferred stats. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to tank players then they should consider upgrading their chest, helm and shoulders.

Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher ilvl once they are no longer useful, and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional upgrade bonus of 1. A re-upgrade, however, can cause damage to the trinket unless it is salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, but is still less expensive than buying a new one.
