WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of the item upgrading level upgrade (visit my website) by +3. A random substat is also increased with each upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a more value in trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. However, the item that is used to upgrade will be consumed forever and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in every major city, and can be visited anytime to upgrade your equipment. To keep your gear current it is recommended you visit the upgrader each couple of weeks.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item however, they are always cheaper than purchasing new gear. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest piece to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items which can be used to improve the quality of weapons and tools, armor and other accessories. They are purchased by players from item upgrader NPCs in exchange for various currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool, or armor. button, which displays an image of the item at its next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the item upgrade and the current item level and the weapon's price is higher than gloves or bracers, for example. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Certain upgrades provide discounts on Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain level it is able to be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currencies.

Item upgraders can be found in a variety of locations on the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon and a possibility of getting the latest recipe. The discount on upgrades increases with the number of items being upgraded. It is also possible to be increased by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.

Crests

When upgrading gear in WoW, players have a variety of choices. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system that was introduced in 10.1, and come in 4 ranks.

First, you must be aware that the crests can only be purchased for equipment of a certain rank. Each rank comes with an upgrade path that is different. The most basic and straightforward upgrade route costs 15 crests while the more complex one can require as much as 20 crests, based on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through completing content of the appropriate level, whether that means walking around and doing outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, dungeons or raids of all difficulty for items of higher tier, or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses to obtain endgame gear. These crests can then be exchanged at an upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade paths and steps.

The new currency system isn't complicated to use, but it does bring some changes to the upgrade process. For instance, once a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible level on all of their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests wisely, as they have only one purpose. For instance it's best to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests with the best equipment you have and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning to make. This is especially relevant for rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character, which can only be eligible to take advantage of the account-wide discount when all slots are full of high-quality gear.
