Contrary to other robovacs we've tested, the i3+ EVO comes with an automatic emptying bin that dumps debris into an external dirt compartment on its charging base when it's filled. This makes it easier to maintain the unit and helps keep the i3+ EVO from overfilling, however it must be manually cleaned after each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's internal dust bin holds 2.4L of debris and is enough to last several cleaning sessions before you need to replace it.

Like the i7model, this model also uses the latest floor sensors to create maps and navigate neat rows. However the i3+ EVO only stores one map, whereas the i7 has the capacity to store multiple maps. The i7 also has the ability to use its map to create no-go zones and virtual barriers, however the i3+ EVO cannot.

Although the i3+ EVO is more effective at picking up dirt and debris from surfaces than the other robovacs that we tested but it's not the best in terms of cleaning edges and corners. It is also less gentle on furniture, despite being fairly silent. It was quite rough on furniture as it moved chairs away. It also caused collisions with the sides of the test bed.

2. Black & Decker Pro Q5

This is the first robot we've seen that has 3D mapping. This, along with other innovations made it perform extremely well in our vacuuming tests and mopping tests. It allows you to schedule cleanings, set no-go zones, and check the battery's condition, among other things. The app is simple to use, but it doesn't support Apple HomeKit.
