EV Star is a highly customizable zero-emission vehicle. It's fully FTA certified, Altoona tested and Buy America compliant. It provides a wide range of options, ADA wheelchair provisions, and green mobility cargo delivery setups.

EV Star

GreenPower Motor Company produces a complete line of high-floor and low-floor all-electric power scooters medium and heavy-duty vehicles. Their flagship vehicle is the EV Star Cab & Chassis platform, which can accommodate various upfits and bodies for multiple applications. The platform's clean sheet design allows for optimal battery pack placement and a lower center of gravity, resulting in higher payload to range ratios.

The EV Star REEFERX was designed for Green Scooter mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries and catering applications. The class 4 refrigerated trucks have a single interior wall structure, and higher insulation than conventional trucks, allow for seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer life span. The EV Star REEFERX provides superior cargo capacity and a top payload to range ratio for zero-emission goods and passenger transportation.

GreenPower joined forces with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems that will allow fleets to transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star is also capable of wireless charging up to 75 kW.

We had the opportunity to test the EV9 for several hours on a local freeway and found it to be a breeze to drive and comfortable for long distances. The EV9 is able to suppress wind and road noise while on the highway. It rides smoothly over ruts and humps. The acceleration is surprisingly fast and the car has adjustable regenerative braking to enable "one pedal driving" by simply lifting the accelerator.

The EV9 is extremely reliable and can be fully charged in just three hours at home, or using any commercial charger. The driver has the option of choosing between two operating modes - eco mode and sport mode. The eco mode prioritizes the cruise control and torque, while the sport mode increases speed and handling. Both modes are enjoyable to drive and Greenpower Electric Scooters offer an unforgettable experience for those who've never been in a vehicle with an electrical system before.

In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other electric vehicles, including a multi-purpose all-electric mini bus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA-compliant and can be used as executive shuttles, microtransit and transit vanpools, buses, and paratransit vehicles.

GreenPower produces around 10 EV Star buses per month for Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 electric cars. With the Biden Administration planning to electrify school buses nationwide, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet demand. Their EV Star bus is the first of its kind to be tested in Altoona and FMVSS-certified. Buy America compliant and ADA certified. This makes them eligible for federal transit grants.
