World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.

If the weapon's upgrade template is %, it will gain 3percent of its previous damage for each time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item level increases.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons and trinkets to give an extra stat boost or effect while they're in use. They can be acquired through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading, or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into equipment that has a slot to accommodate them; the item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be applied. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascended equipment, as well in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item upgrader mod it's applied to (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of that equipment using the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the defense or attack attributes of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by purchasing them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-tier version of an item will be revealed at the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear even if they are unsure what will be improved after the reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be costly and it is likely that the item will become obsolete, or even break, in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items that can double or even eliminate chance of failure, and some upgrades that provide the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, which includes any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded a variety of ways, and we suggest getting them to level 15 as soon as possible.

It is commonplace to see in the final game that placing Glyphs is the most effective way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and offer a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions, are the most common. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the numerous Glyphs as well as also a few rare Glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Using Glyphs Glyph can boost all nodes that are linked to it, and you should try to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. For instance that a Druid should try to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes but you should also consider placing them near critical damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to boost the stats of specific items by inserting upgraded components. This is often referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item has a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each level requires a different number of components to reach, and the upgrade costs increase as the item upgrader kit is advanced in level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade item tab of a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. When enough points have been earned you will be able to claim your upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When the player upgrades an item upgrader kit, the base item is replaced with a new item of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will become a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have a unique bonus. This could be a drawback because it can cause the item to become more expensive if you do not need it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can reroll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by the same item, but it has a base of level 1 and completely different bonuses. This can be beneficial, but should not be repeated often since it can waste resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants an increase in power if the player is repeatedly in or leaves the water. The item can be upgraded many times by increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is extremely valuable in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of a unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items, hikvisiondb.webcam, allows players to increase the quality of their equippable equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currency to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase its base defense and weapon upgrades items increase the damage they deal as well as their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every when you upgrade an item, it has the chance to fail. The failure rate increases the more you exceed the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will result in the item returning to its initial state which means that the player has to spend additional materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will be reset to zero. Additionally, the item will lose any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, and all additional effects associated with the effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or speed of reload). However, the user can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

If an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that, should a weapon gain an increase in the chance of crit, the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the definition of the item and the value is calculated every time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade--for example, a common equipment item might have 5 upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will have the lowest cost for each upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading than standard gear--for instance, they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. Whatever the case, players will have to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade will require a different amount of the upgrade ingredients.
