Cots 4 Tots - A Charity That Helps Families With Neonatal Intensive Care

Cots 4 Tots offers accommodation close to hospital for families whose babies are in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. It is managed by the Great Appeal, the dedicated charity for Bristol Children's Hospital. Abbey Silvester ran the AJ Bell Great Bristol Run in aid of the Great Appeal.

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a non-profit organization that helps fund the Marine Corps' annual toy drive. The Cots 4 Tots story began in the year 2010 with a fundraising appeal to Bristol's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) located at St Michael's Hospital. Since its founding the charity has raised tens of thousands of pounds to assist families of premature or sick babies in the West of England and South Wales. Its mission includes providing families with accommodation facilities as well as the latest equipment for the NICU.

One of the main focuses is the Cots For Tots House, a free "home from home" for families who stay in the hospital. It is located right next to the NICU, allowing parents to be close to their children. Since 2012 the charity has helped more than 2100 families stay at the house.
