Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

A special item can be used to evolve specific Pokemon. The upgrade is obtained by spinning a photo disc. It is sometimes offered as a prize in Pokemon GO events.

Upgrades can be applied to weapons, armors, trinkets, and gathering tools in order to boost their level. The upgrade costs Flightstones or crests based on the type of item.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be inserted into armor, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools to give bonus effects or attributes when the equipment is utilized. The equipment being upgraded must be equipped with an upgrade slot to accommodate the component, and most upgrade components require the item being upgraded to be above an amount. Some upgrade item items also have special effects when applied to an item upgrader mod. upgrade item components can be obtained by crafting, purchased by karma merchants or traded with other players through the Trading Post. They can also be salvaged from equipment and redeemed as rewards.

A variety of upgrade components are available, each offering various bonuses. Universal upgrades, which include gems and inscriptions can be used in any type of equipment; they provide smaller bonuses than other types of upgrade components. Infusions can be utilized on non-amulet and legendary ascended items, and enrichments can be used on some back equipment that is ascended. Slotting in an upgrade component will cause the destruction of the previous upgrade. The exceptions are glyphs (which can only be used in gathering tools) and Enchantments, which can be removed and put back in.

Insignias and enchantments will show their names on the hover display of the item, while upgrades that have a suffix or prefix will add their names to the end of the equipment's name (e.g., a Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The tooltip of an item will display the number of upgrade components that have been added to it.

Glyphs

Glyphs are special characters that can be added into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements, like ligatures and ornaments, fractions and swashes registered trademark symbols, and ellipses. The Glyphs panel allows you to view and insert these special characters as well as standard glyphs such as em dashes and en dieshes, registered trademark symbols and glyphs that don't appear in other fonts (such as dingbats).

Each Glyph provides an initial boost to the stats of the character. The glyph can also have up to four secondary stats that alter the radius of your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a %-increase that is multiplied when other bonuses have been applied except for Speed Glyphs which directly increase the hero's speed.

The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them and then clicking the "enchant" button. This will open a new window showing the Glyphs you own that can be applied to the item you have selected. You can only apply the appropriate Glyph to the item you are looking for. Each weapon or jewelry piece has its own collection of Glyphs.

Glyphs can be leveled up through the use of Nightmare Dungeons or completing Tree of Whisper quests. The more difficult the dungeon, the higher the amount of Glyph experience you'll gain. Once a Glyph has reached the level 15 it is able to be upgraded on the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The radius of the Paragon Board increases by one node each 15 levels that a Glyph is upgraded.

Once a Glyph has been leveled up to the desired level you can activate it by selecting it and then pressing the "enchant" button. The Glyph you create will provide its stated benefit, and will also boost other nodes within its radius on the Paragon Board. Glyphs should go in areas that will benefit your building the most. This is why you should consider Magic Glyphs as soon as possible. Rare glyphs can also provide double bonuses if certain conditions can be met.

Click the cycle widget to change the view of the Glyphs Panel. Each of these views displays the Glyphs in different fonts. You can reduce the number of glyphs by choosing an option below "Entire Font". For example, punctuation is only displayed in punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols limit the selection to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling

Rerolling is the process of creating a new account in order to increase your chances of getting a character or weapon you'd like. It can aid in your progress to higher levels or to get better loot, such as a better weapon for your character. A lot of players will reroll until the character they wish to play is available, regardless of its strength. It could be that they like the style or the personality of the character.

When you reroll, it is important to make sure that the changes you are making are clear. You should test locally if the patch passes pre-commit and run a core dev test. It is also recommended to upload the patch to an issue using plain diff (see What is an interdiff? ).

Rerolls can take days or even weeks to complete, depending on the luck of the draw. To save time be sure to avoid enemy camps that are optional during this period. It is also recommended to avoid repeating quests that can be completed later on in the game. This can save you time and energy.

Sets

A set is a collection of objects that share common attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen, or the members of the class). Sets can be used to perform operations such as union, intersection and difference.

Upgrades make a set more effective than it was prior to. For armor and weapons, this means it gains an increase in the base defense and less strength requirements and a lower level requirement.

Upgrading is an excellent method of bringing popular single-set items up to parity with their higher-tier set counterparts. For instance upgrading Guillaume's Face Helm to Elite Spired Helm increases the defense from 217 to 321 while reducing the strength requirement and level requirement to a more manageable range.

However it's important to keep in mind that not all set items are candidates for upgradation. Some sets, such as the FB Sorc Whistan's Shield, a spec's item or Naj's Puzzler staff are already Elite and Exceptional in their individual ways and do not require upgrading. On the other hand, some items that are BiS and see frequent use (like Goldwrap) may benefit from being upgraded to increase their performance even more. It might be worthwhile to upgrade these items.
