WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item Level upgrade [telegra.ph] will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to the enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new gear. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points purchasing a similar piece from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase tools, armor, weapon and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for various currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor. The button will display the preview of an item's next upgrade level when there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the item slot and the current Best item upgrader level and the weapon's price is higher than bracers or gloves, for example. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.

Upgraders for items can be found in many places, including the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon and a possibility of obtaining the latest recipe. The discount for upgrades increases with the number of items that are being upgraded. It is also possible to be boosted by having players complete specific achievements or complete quests.

Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items at the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are only available through a variety of methods. This is both a positive and an issue.

In Season 3, many new features have been added to the upgrade system. After a player has earned an upgrade to a specific item level for a particular armor slot, upgrading additional items to that level will cost less even in the event that they are part of a different gear set.

The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is decreased, and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievements.

Crests

Players have a variety of choices when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are an Best item upgrade that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are an integral element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.

Another significant change is that crests only have one use, so it's important to use them wisely. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the highest-quality gear you can find and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly true for items like trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character that will be able to avail the discount for all accounts when all slots are filled with high-quality equipment.
