World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a key part of gearing up your character. Upgrades increase item damage and enhancements.

They also provide rewards and upgrades. The Blacksmith can also sell them to you.

The upgrade button is located on any item. Every recycled item upgrade adds one level to the gauge for upgrading.

Weapons

When a weapon is upgraded, it gets an initial damage bonus as well as an increase in the scaling factor that affects other stats. Some upgrade items components have aesthetic effects while others give additional features. These upgrades can be put into weapons, armor, trinkets, and gathering tools, and most require that the equipment have an upgrade slot that is available and meet certain specifications. When the weapon is at max upgrade, it can be reforged with a number of different types of upgrades to increase specific stats or add other bonuses and effects. A variety of these upgrades can be applied at once, and the effects differ based on the nature of the weapon.

There are two Blacksmiths in the game that can perform these upgrades: Blacksmith Hewg in the Church of Elleh hub area, and Smithing Master Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace. Both require different upgrade materials: Smithing Stones for standard weapons and Somber Smithing Stones to alter the damage that a weapon inflicts.

In general, it's advisable to upgrade your weapon damage first. Then you can increase your armor defense, and then those secondary stats that are required by your build. Particularly, it is common to see melee druids upgrade their weapon prior to any other gear, because it helps maximise DPS. This is particularly applicable to enchantments, which can be extremely effective in boosting a weapon's damage and other stats.

Armor

Item upgrades allow players to boost the performance of certain weapons, armors trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools. After you have completed the Mastery Cave after completing the Mastery Cave, you can find Trinkets by taking on Monsters and inside crates and chests in Skull Cavern. They are not in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.

When you have a trinket that needs to be upgraded put it in the Anvil to do so. This will have an effect on the trinket that is random that will either enhance or intensify its effects. You can also enhance your Trinkets by placing them in a Magical Catalyst at the Alchemy Station. It will cost you 6 energy, but will increase the trinkets power by a small amount.
