It also couldn't handle dried-on dirt.

Its app isn't equipped with advanced features such as multiple cleaning modes or automated scheduling. It supports Alexa however its voice commands aren't intuitive or responsive. It's also flaky when it comes to navigating its way back to the charging station after running -- other robots can trace a previous path or sensibly follow a wall around until they reach their home however the RX3 just bumbles about until it quits and sends a failure message to your phone.

Another issue we faced was with its smart features, specifically the mapping function and the digital keep-out zones. While it did a great job of keeping away from our furniture legs and shoes but it could easily be caught by socks and cables, and it was not able to manage the tassels on carpets. That's the reason we didn't choose to include it in our Best buy robot vacuum cleaner list. The Scout RX3 offers a good price and impressive performance. It's worth looking into as an alternative to uprights that are traditionally used.
