WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. A random extra substat is also increased with every upgrade.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrades upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every few weeks, to keep your equipment up-to-date.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item, however, they are always less expensive than purchasing new gear. For example upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that are used to upgrade weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon, or armor. button, which displays an item's preview when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot of the item and the current item level. For example, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

This change is intended to allow players to get their equipment up to the highest level possible on all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

Another notable change is that crests have one usage, so it's important to make use of them in a responsible manner.
