The cot is cushioned and has mesh sides to increase the airflow, and the mattress is made of high-density, foam to provide extra protection. It's also washable so that you can keep it clean. Additionally, it is fitted with a sheet that's suitable for use with the cot.

The Roomie Glide, unlike some other bedside crib co sleeper cribs is compatible with all beds including divans. This is because of the straps and clips that attach to it. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib if it isn't attached to the bed. It is packed with incredible features that were designed with the idea of parent-child bonding in mind.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to give you an uninterrupted night's sleep. It has a drop-side rail which can be easily lowered to feed your baby at night without having to disturb your baby or get them out of bed - it's ideal for breastfeeding mothers! It's also light and easy to move around during naps or for travel.

It's made of soft material and has breathable mesh sides to promote airflow. It's available in charcoal and oak, with a range of melange fabric options that work well with a variety of decor styles. Anna discovered that it was solid and secure when it was attached to her bed. The legs clicked into place and the zippers were secured for security. It took her around 10 minutes to assemble and didn't require tools, with clear instructions and a video or customer support number if you encounter any problems.

The CoZee crib has all the features you'd think of in a crib for your bedside, such as the ability to attach it to your existing bed using a stay-in-place connection system. It also comes with six height settings. In addition, there is an inclines feature that can be used to aid babies with congestion or reflux. It's also machine-washable, a necessity with all the dribble and vomit that comes with having a new baby!

The CoZee is an excellent choice if you want to keep your child close during the first six months of learning to fall asleep independently. It can be used as a crib, changing station or toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa bed extension pack, it could be converted into an actual cot. It isn't able to feed your baby, or magically make them sleep it will gently rock them until they go off!

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of the more expensive alternatives. However, it comes with numerous excellent features. It's designed to function as an individual side sleeper or standalone crib and is suitable from birth to six months. It has a new mechanism to open and close the side panel and is simple to use even with one hand. It's also more adjustable than its predecessor with 11 different height levels as well as retractable feet for a secure installation under any bed.

Our testers loved the easy access the side panel provides, which can be moved up and down at the touch of one button. This was a huge help during night time feeds as it meant that they could easily reach in and take their baby away without disturbing them up.

The side panel can be lifted by itself, too, but it's not recommended as this increases the chance of your baby falling out of the cot. However, the safety locking mechanism means that it will only stay down when attached to the parent's bed correctly. This is an excellent feature to have in place for peace of mind, especially in the case of breastfeeding and frequent night feeds.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to work with any bed, including divan bases and beds with drawers, thanks to the telescopic legs. It comes with a tilting function for babies with reflux, as well as a rocking function to help calm them after a feeding. It is also very large and offers excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.

Our test participants found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, although it comes with a long instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers, however it's very portable and can be moved from room to room with ease. It's small enough to be able to fit into a travel bag when not in use which is a plus when you have to transport it. The only negative our testers have found is that the side panel didn't flex as much compared to other models. This made it a little harder to see the baby bedside co sleeper from your bed.

The Shnuggle Air

The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is an excellent choice if you want a crib that grows with your child. It's a sleeper crib that is securely attached to your bed and can be turned into a chic cot when your baby is old enough. It is ideal for feeding your baby at night and strengthening the bond you have with your baby's new.

The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, which is different from other cribs. Its dual-view mesh side panels and breathable, hypo-allergenic airflow mattress maximise airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle slope helps alleviate colic and reflux. The zip-down side allows you to feed your baby or comfort them at night.

The kit for converting cots is also well-designed with clear instructions. It includes everything you require. It took us about an hour to assemble and was relatively simple. The only downside to the instructions was that a few images did not have captions. This made it difficult to follow the instructions. However, it was a straightforward procedure and the quality of materials used was excellent.

The Shnuggle Air is a great choice for women who are breastfeeding or have had C-sections. It allows them to reach out and hold their baby for comfort and feeding without leaving their bed. It's also great for mothers who want to avoid the stress of getting in and out of a traditional cot, or placing their child down to sleep.

The gliding motion was found to be extremely helpful in lulling babies to sleep following feedings during the midday or at night. The drop-down side makes it easy to feed or soothe babies during the night. This was a huge selling point for our exhausted test mums. The Joie Roomie Glide is a elegant and practical crib that doesn't rock, or have extra features such as an audio system.
